Kevin and I are excited to announce that we are having a baby in early July! We were going to wait until Christmas to tell everybody but we decided to spill the beans early. I am extremely lucky because I haven't really had any morning sickness. The nurse said that many people can get sick if they don't have enough food in the stomach. She suggested that I keep saltines by my bed and eat a couple as I'm waking up. So far, it has done the trick. I only feel sick if I sleep in late on a Saturday or something. So I am really really lucky. I'm not really showing yet, but supposedly that isn't uncommon for the first child. The other day I read that my baby is about 1/4" long, which is crazy!!! I have to eat something about every hour though! I get really hungry!
Kevin really wants a boy, he thinks girls are too hormonal. (Does he forget it would be my daughter??) Anyway, I would be fine with either one, but I have a feeling that Kevin may get all girls if he is so decidedly set on a boy! We are excited for the future aunts and uncles, and very excited that our baby will have an "Uncle Ben," (the rice!) "Aunt Bea," (the Andy Griffith Show), "Uncle Jesse," (Full House) and "Uncle Tom," (Uncle Tom's Cabin). The others will be great too, we just thought those titles were especially awesome.
Congrats! You guys will be great parents.
ReplyDeleteLibby and I are expecting, too, about the same time! July 6th.
Way to go, you guys!
YEAAAAAHHHH!! That's awesome! And I do have to say that July babies are the best.... I guess you would know. :) Ohhh, you are going to have the cutest baby ever!
ReplyDeleteExcept for Penny, of course.
YAY! how exciting!!! The saltines thing makes me think of something that I think you said at some point: "Saltines...the breakfast of supermodels"
ReplyDeletehahaha! :) Glad you're not having a rough go of it.
July babies are nice, but I personally preferred March as far as keeping myself at a non-boiling temperature. Oooh, I'm so excited! And we always tell my brother Tom that he is "dear old uncle Thomas" like on the King & I. Oh, and my guess is girl! Hormonal? You can marry a girl but you can't have one for a child? He'll have to talk to Clint about girls. Cami is so completely the apple of her daddy's eye. I was so excited to have a girl first.
ReplyDeleteYou already know how excited I am--- hooray for babies!! I'm so excited for you both, you will make the cutest pregnant lady every and and even better mom :) and Kevin will be a good daddy, girl or boy ;)
ReplyDeleteYay!!! I am sooo happy for you Be-nana!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! That is so exciting!! You guys are going to be such great parents!
